Our little AJ had to have an MRI yesterday - nothing serious - just needed to check on a little cyst in his head that he was diagnosed with in China. He did super for the nurses and is totally into watching everything that is going on - very curious. They put a topical numbing cream on his hands and feet before the procedure so that it would not hurt so much when they inserted his IV. They sedated him as he had to be still for 45-60 minutes for the MRI. Before they started the medicine the doc warned us that it could be kind of freaky to watch and it was. One minute he was wide awake and laughing and the next second he was sound asleep - that might be nice at bedtime sometime :-)
When he came back to the room after the MRI he took awhile to wake up as it was his regular nap time. He was back to his normal self within a few minutes after waking up and drinking juice and eating crackers.
We got the results back this morning and everything is fine. As long as he stays symptom free there is nothing further they will do about it.
He is starting to talk a lot and hopefully soon he will be giving his sister a run for her money in the talking department. I can't imagine having two talking as much as she does - but I guess I better get ready!
