A Great Nephew
Today my sister became a grandmother! Hard to believe! Jack arrived at 8:15 this evening in Oklahoma. My nephew (daddy to baby Jack) is in Iraq but my sister had him on the phone and he was "there" when Jack was born. In fact I found out that Jack had arrived from him when he posted it on Facebook. This is the 2nd momenteous occasion in his life he has attended by phone. Some of you may remember the video I posted of his engagement to Aly. He proposed to her over the phone from Iraq at one of her horse shows. Obviously, meantime, he came home from Iraq, got married and spent some time with his wife before he was once again deployed. Jack weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces and both mom and baby are doing great. His daddy thinks that maybe he will give him a hard time in years to come and make him wait one day for his birthday since it is the 25th in Iraq already :-)

Here's a funny timeline: Brian and Aly engaged - June 24; married - May 24; first baby - April 24.
He's a darling little guy - very mellow and laid back....reminds me of Brian when he was born.
