We decided to bake our first batch of Christmas cookies this afternoon. I made the dough while the kids were playing this morning so it was ready when they woke up from their naps. They had a lot of fun helping roll out the dough, cutting out shapes and sprinkling colored sugar on the cookies. Of course they had the most fun eating their finished product. When they are a little older we will try the icing thing but for this year we will sprinkle colored sugar :-)

Aww come on - mix up the icing and spread away - what's the worst that could happen, you'll need to take them outside and hose em off? (this is where you insert the big grin!)
Looks like loads of fun for the cooks as well as Santa / Saint Nick!

It looks like FUN! And, the cookies look yummy!! They did a great job!
Looks like they had a great time. What wonderful memories you are making this Christmas season.
They look great, the cookies AND the kids! I'd love your recipe, I always have a hard time getting a good cookie-cutter dough consistency.
Merry Christmas!
