Today the temperatures soared above 100 degrees in the city, so we headed for the beach. Here is our day in pictures -
Ready to go in their beach duds!
A little lunch on the beach
and then some serious digging
Dad thought we would hang out under our umbrella
but we were soon coaxed into the sand
A little stroll on the beach - at first they were scared of the water but once we got their feet wet they could not get enough of it and were dragging us back in over and over until we were all quite wet!
Annalynn thought it would be great fun to do face plants after she was soaking wet! She was covered from head to toe with sand!

After a little cleaning up we headed to the icecream shop!
They were out before we left town!
A stop at Sonic on the way home - we only have two in the area and they are both a drive so we had to take advantage of one while were out that way!!

Ruth, it looks like you had a GREAT day at the beach! Thanks for taking time to follow our journey! I have appreciated all of your comments! It's so nice to know that we have so many great friends who are sharing in our joy right now!! We are loving every minute of life with Haley! She is such a precious little girl! She loves to see pictures of AJ!! I'll have to show her the new ones of the beach!!

Great photos!! Love it that they are comfortable in the sand. Emma hates the sand!! She would not walk on it, I will post those photos! :) Your kiddos are very cute together. :)
