Another Auntie and Uncle

Today Annalynn met her Aunt Cathy and Uncle Terry. They are my oldest sister and brother-in-law. They have just finished a year furlough in Arkansas and are headed back to the Philippines where they have been missionaries for 20 years. They are here for just a few short days and Annalynn had a blast with them today! She was sad when they left this afternoon! We will see them again before they leave though. Hopefully we will get some better pictures of her with them.

Daddy was not here for all the fun. He left early this morning for Idaho for his grandfather's funeral and memorial service. His grandfather lived to be a wonderful 96 years old and was ready to be with Jesus! Have you ever noticed that funerals are never at convenient times? It was not a convenient time for this trip, but it hardly ever is! Troy felt that it was important for him to go not only to honor the memory of his grandfather, but to honor his mother. At funerals we remember the dead person but we often attend to support those that are still living. They will continue to be here and in our lives and they need our support as they grieve and process the loss they are experiencing.

We look forward to him returning in a couple days and spending more time with Aunt Cathy and Uncle Terry before they leave on Thursday.
