Today is Veterans Day. This is a day for us to remember all who have served and are serving our great country in the military. Yesterday morning I took my dad and my husband to a Veteran's Breakfast at our church to honor them for their service. My dad is a WWII vet and my husband was in the Air Force durning Desert Storm. My father-in-law also served in the military. Troy's brother and sister-in-law both retired from the Air Force and we have 4 nephews now serving in the Army with one serving in Iraq and one recently finishing 6 months in Afghanistan. Without the men and the women of our Armed Forces and their selfless giving, America would not be the country that it is today. We would not enjoy the freedoms that we enjoy and that so many others around the world do not enjoy! Yesterday at the breakfast one of our pastor's quoted the verse, " Greater love has no man than he lay down his life for his friend" Our military men and women lay down their lives daily for their friends and for those that they may not even like. They lay it down for a country that appreciates them less and less and yet they continue to voluntarily join, serve and lay down their lives for all!! They are truly heros!!!

They are heroes, and we are grateful.
So true! I am so thankful that we have men and women who are willing to fight for our freedoms. They are deserving of honor and respect each and every day.
