We had a fun thing happen tonight. We were out by the mall and saw a new noodles & company that looked like it was open. We went over there and found out it was opening Friday and it was "Family and Friends" night - translated "free food". The gal explained it was by invitation only and gave us a coupon for a free dinner. Just then a manager came out and invited us in anyway. So we had a free yummy dinner. If you have a noodles & company near you and have not tried it - we recommend it!! Check out their website, too! It is pretty cool!
We had an experience like this once before but did not know it was a "family and friends" night. We ate our meal and then could not figure out why the server was not bringing us the check. Finally we asked her for it and found out that it was an invitation only night and the food was free. You can't beat free!

This happened once to me at the place I love the best, Starbucks! I ordered, as usual, drove to the window, and they said, "Our computers are down so your drink is on us!"
